MBSR is a an 8-week gold-standard course on Stress Reduction and Deepening your Mindfulness Practice. It consists of 8 weekly face-to-face classes and well-structure home practice to assist with the wide range of stress-related problems, including sleep, anxiety, panic, tiredness, and chronic pain. The course was developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn (PhD) and colleagues at the University of Massachusetts Medical Centre in the 1970s to alleviate a number of health problems. Since then it has undergone a substantial scientific research on its benefits in dealing with stress, anxiety, panic. This course is also designed to assist people dealing with some chronic conditions and pain. Regular practice of Mindfulness may assist with emotional regulation, resilience, and problems with sleep. This courses is the most well researched mindfulness course worldwide and has helped a number of people to deal with the challenges of life in a sustainable long-lasting way.
Deadlines for bookings are 22 June for July in-take and 22 August for September intake. Groups are limited to 12 people, so it is advisable to enrol early. Course fee is £16, and includes an optional retreat day per course. Classes will be based in a local calm, safe and creative studio, Benk and Bo (4-6 Gravel Ln, Aldgate, London E1 7AW).
