Aldgate in Winter Lantern Parade & Winter Market

Join us this Friday 3rd December for the Aldgate in Winter Lantern Parade & Winter Market!

You are invited to watch children from local schools alongside their parents, teachers and community groups weave through the streets of Aldgate in a lantern parade, which will culminate on Petticoat Lane (Aldgate end of Middlesex Street) for a Winter Market, live performances, community feast and activities.

The Winter Market will feature stalls from Lady Lane Market traders, students and staff from London Met university, City of London Recycling Team, Toynbee Hall and a City of London Corporation information stand.

We are excited to have the ladies from Lady Lane Market join us, they will be selling their handmade and crafted creations! Some more details below:

• Carol from @east_london_wax is a creative entrepreneurial great grandmother who makes all her own products. Her products include natural wax melts, resin keyrings and homewares.
• Anita from @nitadesigns sells handmade accessories crafted with love, including bespoke jewellery, adaptations, upcycling, masks, bags and accessories.
• Susanne from @suauraessentials makes natural and organic hair and skincare products for both men and women, that are vegan friendly.
• Audrey from @eastlondonstitched has been knitting since the age of 7! Her handmade items include crochet scarves, hats, baby blankets and more.
• Rachel from @wellgifteduk creates the perfect gifts, including handcrafted creative 3D mugs, personalised new born baby light boxes, children sensory boards and more!

Following the main event day, there will be a two week exhibition illuminating Aldgate’s streets and windows at 25 different venues in a vibrant community-created display.
