Workplaces in Tower Hamlets are being invited to register their interest in a free health check for their employees, as part of a new government-funded cardiovascular disease (CVD) workplace health check pilot.

Tower Hamlets Council is one of 48 local authorities taking part in the multi-million-pound programme, which will see CVD health checks being delivered in workplace settings up until 31 March 2025.

In Tower Hamlets, the CVD workplace health check will cover smoking status, BMI, alcohol risk, a blood pressure check and type 2 diabetes risk score. Measuring and providing support in these areas routinely can help to prevent ill health.
