Aldgate Connect BID is proudly supporting Whitechapel Gallery’s youth collective, Duchamp & Sons, in their new film installation co-created with artist Maz Murray.

Film Installation: Cost of Cathy Crisis: The pigeon, the fox and the tortured artist

This new film installation co-created by Whitechapel Gallery’s youth collective, Duchamp & Sons, and artist Maz Murray will take Whitechapel Gallery’s Assembly Room this February half term.

Created over five months, the installation pulls inspiration from cinema history, visual storytelling, and hands‑on DIY film techniques.

Launch Event Date: 19th February, 6.30pm, Free entry, no booking required

Their free, relaxed launch event on 19th February celebrates this project, which explores different approaches to filmmaking, storytelling, and performance.

The launch event offers an opportunity to hear from collective members about their experiences and the motivations behind the film, followed by an informal Q&A session and a chance to see the completed film and installation.
