Stay Safe This Festive Season with Extended Taxi Marshal Service

Our Taxi Marshal initiative, delivered with Our Safer City and Eastern City BID, is helping you stay safe through extended hours across the festive period.

The Taxi Marshals are stationed on Liverpool Street every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9:00pm, with extended hours running until 2:00am, providing additional late-night support when it is needed most.

Taxi Marshals play an essential role in keeping the area safe, orderly and well managed at night. By overseeing taxi ranks, managing queues and supporting a steady flow of vehicles, they help ensure workers, residents and visitors can get home safely and efficiently. The marshals also provide support to vulnerable individuals, discourage anti-social behaviour and help prevent the use of unlicensed minicabs – an especially important focus during the busy festive period.

As part of Our Safer City’s wider commitment to a safer, more welcoming City after dark, the extended presence of Taxi Marshals during the party season provides added reassurance and helps late-night travel run smoothly.
