All you need to do, is just turn up with your bicycle!
Aldgate Connect BID invites you to attend a free cycle safety event, in partnership with the City of London Corporation, City of London Police, Havebike and Sustrans.
This event will raise cycle safety awareness and help you to cycle safely around London. Havebike’s qualified bicycle mechanics will carry out free bike safety checks and tune ups, as well as a detailed report of their findings. Minor repairs or replacements can be made on the day also.
Free bike security marking and registration onto BikeRegister’s online database will be offered by the City of London Police. Registering on BikeRegister means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen.
The City of London Police will also have an ‘exchanging places’ activity, whereby they’ll bring virtual reality headsets that will show cyclists what drivers can and can’t see on the road and allow them to stay visible and safe.
Social distancing will be in place at this event. All event staff will be wearing appropriate PPE and they will be disinfecting bikes and communal equipment in between use.
