The BID has been successful in receiving £20k from the Greater London Authority (GLA), to develop strategies around supporting the high street post-Covid. This is a fund to improve the nature of high streets in line with the Mayor’s recovery missions.
Our application is aimed to fit into the council led Petticoat Lane programme and ignite the identity and activation of ‘The Lanes’. The intention behind this work is to draw together both council’s improvement and activation frameworks, create real Petticoat Lane champions and build on the anchors and community assets available.
This strategy is currently in development ready to be submitted later in October with phased and costed projects that the GLA will consider as exemplar projects to fund. If it doesn’t receive the public funding it will shine a light on future BID investment led by a formalized strategy.
