THE PETTICOAT LANE BUNTING COLLECTIVE

SUMMER 2020

It’s been an interesting time for established and establishing local events and clubs that bring together networks and neighbours providing nice activities for people but there have been some amazing examples.
Through the reopening of the Aldgate area we want to fill the streets with vibrancy and community spirit… so working with the councils and the community let us present the Petticoat Lane Bunting collective – a summer- long project to make 1,000 metres of bunting using local fabrics and artists to sew together bunting made by the community and strung over Petticoat Lane Market.

Community groups, individuals and residents are invited to participate and to contribute bunting to the display, in a safe and socially distanced way. If you would like to get involved, and receive a creative pack to complete from the comfort of your home, please find attached the recruitment poster for this exciting Petticoat Lane Bunting Collective project.

If you are interested in taking part or would like more information, please email info@thealdgatepartnership.co.uk.

Though you don’t need extensive sewing experience we have set up a Zoom demo with Sandra, our master crafter from LCH who lead the craft club on the 9 September 12:00-1:00pm. Please email info@thealdgatepartnership.co.uk, if you wish to join this Zoom session.
