Aldgate Connect BID is proud to partner with Tower Hamlets Council to bring a Young Traders Market to Petticoat Lane in support of the National Market Traders Federation Young Traders Market of The Year.

The Market will take place at Petticoat Lane Markets on Sunday 6th July between 9:00am-3:00pm, come and support the next generation of market traders! 

The Petticoat Lane Young Traders Market is part of a national programme which aims to encourage young entrepreneurs to take up a career in market trading.

The Young Traders Markets offering ranges from food and beverage, to crafts, illustrations, jewellery and artisanal groceries, showcasing the full talents of the many young entrepreneurs across the nation. These passionate young people are learning valuable business skills while breathing fresh life into our famous historic market. From creative displays to engaging with the public, they’re mastering it all.

But Petticoat Lane’s edition of the Young Traders Market will just be the beginning for the businesses involved – from there, several finalists will be selected and offered the opportunity to trade at one of the ten Young Traders Markets Regional Finals. These regional finals are held at prolific locations throughout the UK and Northern Ireland, giving finalists the chance for national reach for their products.  

The young traders will be assessed on their trading skills, and winners will go on to compete at the regional final taking place this year at Broadway Market in Hackney on Sunday 13th July.
