Aldgate Connect BID are excited to be working with the local councils, stakeholders, businesses and community to deliver a digital presence for the area of Petticoat Lane.

Petticoat Lane is a vital asset to the area, with a rich and evocative history and a vibrant culture. It already plays an important role, with a diverse ‘offer’ for visitors, workers and residents, but it has the potential to evolve and play an even greater role in the future vibrancy of the wider area.

This project consists of the development of a website, social media and a digital marketing strategy, and is fully funded by the local business community through the BID.

Keep an eye on this page for more information and updates on the project’s progress.

More about Aldgate Connect BID:

In April 2020, the local business community voted to establish a formal Business Improvement District (BID) in Aldgate. The Aldgate Connect BID allows local businesses and communities to have an input into the development of the area. The BID operates in 5-year terms. Through business levies and voluntary contributions, the BID will raise £3.9m over its first term, with the funds going directly into those projects that the community needs the most. Aldgate straddles two boroughs – The City of London and Tower Hamlets – and our teams work in partnership with both local authorities to champion local business, and turn Aldgate into a better area to live, work and visit.
