Aldgate Connect has announced the launch of a dedicated website for promoting East London’s famous Petticoat Lane. The new-look site will feature information on local food & drink offerings, must-visit venues, iconic sites, arts & culture, and the popular Sunday market.
Developed by Aldgate Connect BID in partnership with the local authorities and key stakeholders, the petticoatlane.london site aims to shine a light on this unique corner of the East End, promoting the Petticoat Lane area, its business community, and everything it has to offer.
Zoe Barwick, Director of Aldgate Connect BID said, “Petticoat Lane is a vibrant corner of East London, home to some incredible businesses, food vendors, and residential communities. Working with our local stakeholders and partners, this project will champion the Petticoat Lane area, showcasing its versatility and unique offering”.
To accompany the new site, a modern destination brand has been developed for the area, taking inspiration from Petticoat Lane’s rich history as a hub for the textiles industry. With a bright colour palette, eye-catching textures and patterns, and a recognisable brandmark, this new brand creates an ambitious visual identity that can be adopted by businesses and is instantly recognisable to visitors. To support the project, Aldgate Connect have launched new social media channels for Petticoat Lane, which will delve into the areas vibrant food & drink scene, its markets, hidden gems, history, and the people that make up this iconic London destination.
Aldgate Connect BID also has some exciting plans to bring Petticoat Lane to life, with a series of unique activities and events set to take place on the streets that make up Petticoat Lane.
