The Aldgate Gardening Club Returns!

Author: Zoe Barwick

Aldgate Connect BID is proud to announce the relaunch of the Aldgate Gardening Club!

By popular demand, the BID is reviving our lunchtime gardening club. Open to Aldgate’s workers and locals, bring back your green fingers and enjoy some lunchtime mindfulness with different gardening sessions with sustainability at the core!

Free and open to all in Aldgate!

You will learn new skills and take your garden creation back with you at each of our monthly session of the Aldgate Gardening Club. We’ll be rolling out programme for the year soon, but we are pleased to kick off with:

Natural Dyes from Kitchen Waste

Discover the wonder of colours from plants and everyday kitchen waste and come together to create some natural dye magic!

This workshop is designed to inspire, motivate and reconnect with nature. Learn about the history of the dye trade and contemporary uses of plant colour and pattern your own silk handkerchief to take home.

There are also sign up to volunteer at Benk & Bo’s Community Garden! This runs every Friday on Middlesex Street, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Email Izzy at for more details and to sign up
