Staycation in Aldgate Brings Summer to Local Workers

A vibrant three-day interactive activation bringing you the holiday atmosphere right to the heart of Devonshire Square.

This August, Aldgate Connect BID is transforming Devonshire Square into an urban oasis, as Staycation in Aldgate invites local workers, residents and visitors to experience the City’s ultimate “wish you were here” spot.

Running over three days, the free activation will reimagine the space as a relaxing summer retreat, encouraging people to take a break from the everyday and discover everything Aldgate has to offer.

At the centre of the experience are two beautifully styled pergolas, complete with comfy deckchairs and an interactive Peep-Thru photo opportunity designed to create shareable moments. Whether it’s a lunchtime escape, an informal meeting, afterwork catch-up or simply a place to unwind, the installation offers a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy.

Throughout the event, visitors can also enjoy a programme of live music performances and activities.
