That’s A Wrap: Aldgate Egg Hunt 2026

This year’s Aldgate Egg Hunt too place across 20th March – 6th April and saw 10 incredible hand-painted artworks appear in the windows of local Aldgate businesses. This year’s theme for the artwork was Dragons, giving a nod to the City of London Dragons that mark the boundary of the City, which runs across the centre of Aldgate.

The hunt started with the first dragon at Aldgate Tap in Aldgate Square from where participants followed the clues at each venue to find the end location of Leonardo London City Hotel to receive a chocolate egg prize!

This year, we saw:

• An incredible 523 chocolate eggs collected across 18 days of egg hunting across Aldgate
• 13 teams taking part in the new Crack the Egg: Aldgate Team Challenge
• 3 Ally the Aldgate Bunny days, where Ally and his helpers greeted 605 people and took  173 photos with visitors
• 77 chocolate eggs donated to the Food for Aldgate Foodbank
• 11 exclusive offers from Aldgate businesses

We want to say a big thank you to the wonderful Aldgate businesses that hosted an artwork or provided offers and prizes for participants, including Leonardo Royal Hotel London City, Dabbers Social Bingo, Aldgate Tap, Okja, Yuu Kitchen, Zia Lucia, The Gate Hotel, Emilia’s Crafted Pasta, Cento Alla Torre, Jonny’s Place Hairshop, Potter & Reid, The Star by Liverpool Street, Simply Fresh to Go, and Satyrio.

We also want to give a shout out to Alasdair and the team from The Intrepid Collective for doing an amazing job in supporting with the delivery of the activation.
