Timings: 11.00am – 2:30pm
Where to go: view here
The Lady Mayor’s Show will be held on 8th November, and Aldgate Connect BID is proud to once again join the other City BIDs on a joint float to celebrate the distinctive contribution of the Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) to the City. This year, the theme of our float is Community Heroes, celebration the unsung heroes who make a meaningful difference and bring positivity to our streets, workplaces and communities.
Aldgate Connect alongside the other City BIDs: Cheapside Business Alliance, Culture Mile BID, Eastern City BID, and Fleet Street Quarter, together represent a powerful and strategic force for good, with a strong track record of driving positive change and innovation.
Dame Susan Langley DBE, formerly of the Aldgate ward, will serve as the 697th Lord Mayor of London – only the third woman in over 800 years and the first to hold the title Lady Mayor of London.
This historic event dates all the way back to the 13th century, making it the world’s longest-running and most-loved civic procession. Each year, more than 7,000 participants and around 150 eye-catching floats join the three-mile parade, marking the Lady Mayor’s first full day in office. Expect marching bands, ceremonial carriages, performers, and plenty of London flair along the way.
There’s plenty to do in the City afterwards too – explore nearby attractions, museums, and great places to eat, drink and shop.
Join us at the event or watch the live BBC broadcast from the comfort of your home!
