Journey through 2,000 years of London history with an archaeologist as your guide.

Dates & Times: Daily from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th July, running from 12:05-12:55pm.

From 22nd – 26th July, London workers can enjoy a free introduction to the archaeology of London’s Roman City Wall at the City’s newest visitor attraction. Unearth the history of London through a free 50-minute tour with expert tour guides. Running from 12.05pm – 12.55pm daily, these tours are the perfect lunch time activity and are delivered as part of the Council of British Archaeology’s ‘Festival of Archaeology 2024’.

Tours are delivered by Jane Sidell, the Inspector of Ancient Monuments for London at Historic England, and Jane Leighs, an archaeologist and a marketing & communications specialist currently studying at the University College London.

Each tour can accommodate 20 attendees, so booking is essential to ensure you reserve your place. Make sure to email bookings@citywallvinestreet.org with your name(s) and the date you would like to come to ensure your place on the tour.
