Following the launch of the Aldgate Connect Public Realm Vision & Strategy, the Aldgate Connect BID established Vine Street as key character area of opportunity for Aldgate, as a vital gateway link from Tower Hill in the South and Aldgate Square to the North.

The BID is now looking to gather feedback from the local community of the opportunities and challenges that they see for the Vine Street Gateway. The project focuses on looking at ways of repurposing and reactivating the spaces within and around the archway. The aim of the project is to create a legible gateway with distinctive character and identity, celebrating the historic legacy and re-connecting the area with Aldgate, Tower of London, and the River Thames.
