Aldgate in Winter Festival is returning for its 9th edition and the main event will be expanding over two days! Join us on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December to enjoy the vibrant energy of The Aldgate Stage, featuring an exciting lineup of talented local musicians and standout performers from across London.

Volunteering at Aldgate in Winter Festival is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, develop invaluable skills, and contribute to a truly meaningful local event. Our volunteers are essential to the festival’s success, helping ensure everything runs smoothly while creating an unforgettable experience for local schoolchildren, workers, residents, and visitors.

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team across the main 2-day event.

What does volunteering involve?

Supporting Aldgate in Winter Festival as a volunteer will involve tasks such as:

• Handing out free hot drinks and meals at The Community Feast
• Chaperoning children and young people
• Assisting with creative lantern workshops
• Operational tasks such as helping with event set up and moving lanterns
• Helping to guide and steward The Lantern Parade
• Backstage support at The Aldgate Stage

Volunteering Timeslots

There will be opportunity to submit your preferred volunteer timeslots when filling out the Volunteer Call Out.

Timeslots range between 12.00pm Thursday 4th December – and 8.00pm Friday 5th December.
