Where to eat & drink during Aldgate in Winter 2024

It’s all happening in Aldgate this Winter, with the popular Aldgate in Winter Festival returning for its eighth edition on Friday 6th December! To help you plan your visit, we’ve highlighted some great local food & drink spots to explore during the evening’s celebrations.

Community Feast at The Aldgate Tap
Located in Aldgate Square, The Aldgate Tap is the perfect spot to watch the festival fun from. The festival’s Community Feast will be located at Aldgate Tap, so visitors can enjoy a free meal when they collect a food voucher from event staff. However, “The Tap” has a fantastic selection of alcoholic and soft drinks to keep you going throughout the night. Enjoy craft beers, ales, and much more.

Christmas in the Crescent
Excitingly Aldgate has it’s very own Christmas Market! Head down to Christmas in the Crescent and enjoy delicious food, festive drinks, and handmade crafts from a range of local vendors, open everyday until the 6th January.

Discover Petticoat Lane
This year’s Lantern Parade will wind down some of the streets that make up the iconic Petticoat Lane. These streets and alleyways are jam-packed with restaurants, bars, and pubs, so there’s something for everyone. The Cardinal Bar & Kitchen
A relatively new addition to Aldgate, The Cardinal Bar & Kitchen is an all-day dining experience offering up delicious food & drink in a stunning setting. This family-friendly restaurant & bar is perfect to visit before or after this year’s festival. Their new festive food menu is a must!

Dabbers Social Bingo
Contemporary bingo in the heart of Aldgate, complete with a vibrant food & drinks menu. Dabbers will be wrapping up this year’s festival with a unique bingo show on The Aldgate Stage, before heading back for their regular evening show. Make sure to book your spot to keep the festivities going!
