Author: Whizz Kidz

Your organisation can now take part in the Whizz-Kidz and London Titans Wheelchair Basketball Tournament at the iconic Copper Box Arena at The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Thursday 25th May.

This is a fundraising challenge to raise vital funds for young wheelchair users. Wheelchair basketball is the most played and inclusive disability sport in the world and can be played by anyone who is able to push a wheelchair.

Date: Thursday 25th May 2023
Time: 4pm – 8pm, arrival from 3:30pm
Location: The Copper Box Arena, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E20 3HB

How can we take part?

Wheelchair Basketball is played in teams of five. As an organisation, you may wish to enter more than one team, using the registration links in this email. All team members will need to be able to push a manual wheelchair.

You will need to nominate a Team Captain who will be the main point of contact for your team. They will also complete the registration form and set up your fundraising page.

When you register, you will need to pay an £100 registration fee to help cover the costs of running the tournament and set up a fundraising page.

  • Team registration fee: £100 per team or £20 per person
  • Team fundraising target: £1500 per team or £300 per person

The team at Whizz-Kidz will provide you and your team with support and ideas to achieve your fundraising targets. You will have until 22nd June, a month after the event, to collect all of your fundraising.

Please see the information pack here for further information or get in contact with the team at corporate@whizz-kidz.org.uk.
