We are delighted to be back in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show with another collaborative City BIDs float!

Lord Mayor’s Show returns on Saturday 11th November and so are we with another collaborative City BIDs float, celebrating the unique nature of Business Improvement Districts (BIDs).

This year is brought to you by the City BIDs: Aldgate Connect BID, Cheapside Business Alliance, Culture Mile BID, EC BID and Fleet Street Quarter. BIDs are a powerful and strategic force for good, and have a proven track record for driving positive change and innovation. The design of our float this year celebrates how we are reimagining the Square Mile: transformational public realm projects, supporting small businesses, and making our districts safer, cleaner and more welcoming places to visit, work and live in.

The star of this year’s float is the beloved Morph, who adorned the streets of London across the summer as part of Morph’s Epic Art Adventure sculpture art trail.

The Lord Mayor’s Show is a unique City of London experience, dating back to the 13th Century, making it the oldest, longest, best loved and least-rehearsed civic procession in the world. Over 7,000 people and around 150 floats will participate in a three-mile-long procession to mark the Lord Mayor’s first full day in office. There’s plenty of places to watch from along the route, which runs from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice and back along the river.

There’s plenty to do in the City afterwards too – with lots of attractions, museums, and places to eat, drink and shop.

We hope to see you there or view us from the comfort of your sofa with the show live streamed on the BBC!
