National Food Bank Awareness Day | 4 September
Join us in celebrating National Food Bank Awareness Day, by supporting Food for Aldgate. The food bank accepts donations every Friday between 10.30am-3.30pm, and as part of this day of awareness, we are encouraging everyone to donate and help those most in need in our community.

Whitechapel Gallery’s Backyard Biennial: East| Until 6 September
It’s the final week of Whitechapel Gallery’s free summer arts festival, run in collaboration with over 40 local partners across East London. Catch the last of the exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops and events in this first edition of Backyard Biennial, celebrating the East End’s unique history, culture and creative identity.
Raven Row Exhibition| Until 6 September
Discover Nomenclature for the Time Being, a group exhibition exploring sculpture, performance, writing, photography and video. Artists work in materials from rope and steel wire to velvet, wax and glass, always with an awareness of the body.
The Culpeper’s Last Rooftop Sundown Supper| 8 September
Head to The Culpeper for the grand finale of their rotating chefs series. Join the rooftop for early evening sun, a welcome cocktail, and shared dishes at the communal table under the silver birch trees. Cooking for the night is Ned Burrell of Green Michelin-starred Knepp Wilding Kitchen, with a celebration of summer’s bounty to send diners into autumn in style.
Making Your First Million Panel Discussion at Sir | 9 September, 7pm

Queer Salsa Beginners Course at Bishopsgate Institute | 10 September – 8 October
LGBTQIA+ individuals often face exclusion and oppression in traditional partner dance communities. Bishopsgate Institute seek to provide a safe and affirming environment where everyone can enjoy Afro-Latin partner dancing, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Cycle Saftey Pop-Up at Aldgate Square | 11 September, 8.00 – 10.00
Aldgate Connect BID is joining the City of London Corporation and City of London Police to bring you another Cycle Safety Pop-Up in Aldgate Square. The pop-up includes bike safety marking, minor repairs and assessments, and freebies and giveaways. This cycle safety event is free to attend and open to all cyclists. Simply head to Aldgate Square with your bike, and our team will be on hand to help from 8-10am.
Aldgate Fashion Walking Tour at Petticoat Lane Pocket Park | 17 September, 12.30 – 13.30
In celebration of London Fashion Week, join former fashion journalist, Susanna Cohen of Square Mile Secrets, on this Aldgate Walking Tour. Between 12.30-1.30pm, explore the area’s extraordinary fashion history, and the communities and traditions that continue to shape its style today.
Panna Football | Ongoing until 17 September

Delivered by Central London Alliance as part of the London Sports Festival, in partnership with Aldgate Connect and Blue Orchid Hospitality, it’s the ultimate way to hone your skills and have some fun.
Shuffleboard September at Battle Boom Bar | Throughout September
September is all about Shuffleboard with National Shuffleboard day on 17 September. To celebrate, Boom Battle Bar have teamed up with Smirnoff to bring you a month of epic cocktails and serious bragging rights. Planning a corporate event or office party? National Shuffleboard Day is the excuse you need to get the whole team together and turn “work drinks” into a proper competition.
Sky High Retro Gaming | 22 September
